Injective, a blockchain intended exclusively for developing financial apps, launched today a new $150 million ecosystem project to encourage the adoption of interoperable infrastructure and DeFi.
Pantera Capital, Kraken Ventures, Jump Crypto, Kucoin Ventures, Delphi Labs, Flow Traders, Gate Labs, and IDG Capital are among the businesses behind this new ecosystem endeavor. The members’ primary goal will be to promote promising initiatives developing in a wide range of areas such as interoperability, DeFi, trade, PoS infrastructure, and scaling solutions. This is also the largest collaboration established within the Cosmos ecosystem to date.
Injective is the first completely decentralized smart contracts platform designed specifically for the development of finance applications. Injective was built with the Cosmos SDK and offers plug-and-play modules that let developers to quickly design complicated protocols centered on exchanges, options, derivatives, and loans. With inbuilt connectivity to Cosmos IBC capable chains and Ethereum, Injective is already one of the most interoperable networks in existence.
Mentorship in technological development, cryptography research, company development, marketing, community expansion, and other areas will be offered in addition to customised token and equity investments.
As Injective has seen a recent rise in developer activity and dApp deployments, with projects like as White Whale, Frontrunner, and Kado debuting on the chain, the consortium intends to focus on founders growing inside Injective and the greater Cosmos community. Astroport, one of the world’s major AMMs, has also chosen Injective as its new destination chain. Builders from L1s like Solana, Ethereum, and Terra are continuing to transition their emphasis to Injective in order to expand their applications on the first blockchain developed particularly for the financial sector.
To kick off this new ecosystem fund, Injective is also launching the “Injective Global Virtual Hackathon,” which will bring together builders from all over the world to not only learn how to build on Injective, but also to submit new project concepts for venture financing.
Eric Chen, co-founder and CEO of Injective Labs, said:
“We’re thrilled to see some of the largest names in the industry joining Injective’s mission to create a more democratized financial system through decentralization. Developer activity on Injective is rapidly increasing with major projects and this new ecosystem fund will provide unmatched opportunities for new builders entering Web3 and the Cosmos ecosystem overall.”
