WEMADE PLAY Debuts ‘ANIPANG Match’ Globally

Korean mobile game company WEMADE PLAY has launched its first Play & Earn (P&E) game, ‘ANIPANG Match’, to the global market on March 28, 2023 (Korean local time), complete with P&E game operation policies.

‘ANIPANG Match’ is a mobile puzzle game that incorporates a P&E system based on ‘ANIPANG 4’, the latest installment in WEMADE PLAY’s ‘ANIPANG’ series, which is considered Korea’s most popular game. The ‘ANIPANG’ series, which boasts 42 million downloads and has been played by over 80% of Koreans or most smartphone owners, has provided the foundation for the development of ‘ANIPANG Match’. Project Director Kang Han-Byul explains that the game aims to maintain the casualness and popularity of the ‘ANIPANG’ series while offering a P&E experience that is enjoyable for everyone.

Featuring diverse content, ‘ANIPANG Match’ includes ‘ANIPANG Royale’, a real-time 3-match puzzle competition for global users, and ‘Clan’, which serves as a guild and community. The P&E aspects of the game involve clearing missions using special blocks and items in puzzle play, as well as participating in real-time one-on-one matches in ANIPANG Royal to earn ‘red paw’, the in-game currency. Additionally, the game’s ‘Clan’ feature offers a real-time community for users to share information and enjoyment.

WEMADE PLAY is introducing a revolutionary P&E game operation policy with ‘ANIPANG Match’: One-token Multi-use and NFT. The ‘One-token – Multi Use’ policy allows players to use ‘Red Paw’ in-game currency and ‘Blue Paw’ tokens, which can be converted into WEMIX, across various casual P&E games. This policy will extend to ‘ANIPANG Blast’ and ‘ANIPANG Coins’, set to release next month. According to Kim Sang-Min, team leader of WEMADE PLAY, this approach maximizes utility and offers benefits such as convenience and value stabilization.
