The introduction of the digital tenge, the nation’s central bank digital currency (CBDC), is progressing thanks to the National Bank of Kazakhstan (NBK). The National Payment Corporation (NPC), a special company created to lead the creation and adoption of the digital tenge, was recently announced by the NBK on September 15th.

This tactical shift entails the NPC replacing the Kazakhstan Center for Interbank Settlements. Through its BNB Chain solution, Binance is providing technical assistance for the CBDC pilot.
