Bitcoin to Break Records, Says Binance CEO Richard Teng

Richard Teng, the CEO of Binance, remains a bullish outlook on Bitcoin, predicting its value could climb beyond $80,000, as reported by Bloomberg on Sunday. This optimism is fueled by the increasing flow of investments into crypto-backed exchange-traded funds (ETFs). Despite Bitcoin’s recent fall below $69,000, it has seen a rise of more than 55% this year.
Taking the helm at Binance in November 2023, following Changpeng Zhao’s departure, Teng has observed a big increase in institutional investments, particularly in spot Bitcoin ETFs, a development buoyed by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s earlier approval of these financial products. According to Teng, the entry of institutional money into Bitcoin ETFs is “just getting started,” indicating a positive outlook for the cryptocurrency’s market trajectory.
This influx of capital, as Teng suggests, could propel Bitcoin’s value to new heights. Initially setting his year-end prediction for Bitcoin at $80,000, Teng now believes that with the ongoing demand and the dwindling supply, the price of Bitcoin could ascend even further. His comments reflect a broader sentiment of confidence in the future growth of Bitcoin, underpinned by both regulatory advancements and an increasing appetite from institutional investors.
