OKX Expands into the Netherlands with New Crypto Exchange and Web3 Wallet

OKX, a leading global cryptocurrency exchange, has officially launched its services in the Netherlands, introducing a local trading platform and a Web3 wallet to Dutch customers after introducing the same last year in Brazil.

On June 3, OKX announced the launch of its centralized crypto exchange (CEX) and the OKX Wallet in the Netherlands. The CEX offers Dutch users the ability to trade around 150 cryptocurrencies, with at least 60 trading pairs available in euros. OKX has integrated with the local payment system iDeal to facilitate smooth transactions, allowing for effortless euro deposits and withdrawals.

Diverse Services and Local Commitment

Dutch residents can now engage in spot cryptocurrency trading, staking, and more through OKX’s CEX. Additionally, the OKX Wallet empowers users to maintain full custody of their crypto assets. Erald Ghoos, OKX Europe’s general manager, highlighted the significance of this launch: “The launch of our centralized exchange and OKX Wallet in the Netherlands is a significant milestone in our long-term commitment to the country.” He emphasized that OKX has recruited a skilled local team and designed products with user feedback in mind.

OKX’s entry into the Dutch market follows its rebranding from Okcoin Europe in April. Originally established as Okcoin Europe in 2021, the company began serving Dutch users by registering as a crypto services provider with the central bank of the Netherlands, De Nederlandsche Bank. OKX also holds a virtual financial asset service provider license in Malta.

Dutch residents interested in joining OKX can sign up on the OKX website, download the OKX app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, and complete the verification process. To celebrate the launch, OKX is offering a bonus of up to 50 euros ($54) for all new users who sign up by July 3.
