Robinhood Acquires Pluto Capital

In an effort to improve user investing techniques, Robinhood just announced that it has acquired Pluto Capital, an artificial intelligence research platform.

The 24-year-old Jacob Sansbury established Pluto, which is well-known for its real-time analytics and individualized investing recommendations. This purchase fits nicely with Robinhood’s plan to increase its level of engagement in the cryptocurrency space. Bitstamp was also purchased by Robinhood last month.

The objectives are very clear: increase Robinhood’s cryptocurrency footprint, draw in institutional customers with new offerings, and take use of Bitstamp’s existing connections.

Mayank Agarwal, Robinhood’s vice president of engineering, praised Pluto’s platform, stating, “They have built an impressive platform that is highly regarded in the financial services industry. Their expertise in artificial intelligence coupled with a mission-aligned passion to democratize finance will complement our team’s effort to bring AI-powered tools to our customers.”

Sansbury emphasized retail investor accessibility, stating, “There will be no thresholds or gates. It’s very important for us to give access democratically to everyone.”
