Michael Saylor and his digital asset firm Strategy have increased their Bitcoin reserves once again, reinforcing their position as the largest corporate holder of BTC worldwide.
Good to Know
- Strategy purchased 168 Bitcoin for $18.8 million.
- Total holdings now stand at 640,418 BTC worth about $47.4 billion.
- Bitcoin yield for 2025 has reached 26% year-to-date.
In a post on X, Michael Saylor announced that Strategy bought 168 additional Bitcoin at an average price of $112,051 per coin, spending around $18.8 million. The Nasdaq-listed company, trading under the ticker MSTR, now owns 640,418 Bitcoin accumulated for approximately $47.4 billion at an average cost of $74,010 per coin.
Saylor reported that Strategy’s Bitcoin portfolio has produced a 26% yield this year, showing continued growth in value compared to traditional investments. Bitcoin currently trades near $109,155, down 1.3% in the past 24 hours.
Known for unwavering support of Bitcoin, Saylor remains confident that BTC has entered a more mature phase. In a Bloomberg interview earlier in the year, he rejected the idea of future crypto bear markets.

“Winter is not coming back. We are past that phase. Bitcoin is not going to zero, it is going to one million,” he said.
Saylor credited his optimism to wider institutional interest encouraged by the Trump Administration’s friendlier approach to digital assets. He noted that improved accounting clarity and growing acceptance from financial institutions have reduced risk for corporate adoption. He said:
“The banks are going to custody Bitcoin. Bitcoin has gotten through its riskiest period, the accounting has been corrected. There are now only 450 Bitcoin a day available for sale by natural sellers, the miners. At this level, that equals about $50 million of Bitcoin available daily. If that $50 million is bought, the price has to rise to find sellers willing to part with their coins.”
With daily supply tightening and institutional participation growing, Strategy continues to use an accumulation approach that has become a model for other companies worldwide. It was the first public firm to adopt Bitcoin as its sole treasury reserve asset, a move that reshaped corporate crypto investment strategies.
