GAKS Launches to Build Global Infrastructure for KRW Stablecoin
(Originally posted on : Crypto News – iGaming.org )
South Korea is quickly becoming a major force in the stablecoin world, and a new collaboration aims to speed that momentum up even more. WEMADE, the company behind the WEMIX blockchain ecosystem, has brought together Chainalysis, SentBe, and CertiK to launch the Global Alliance for Korean Won Stablecoin (GAKS).
Good to Know
- Partnership focuses on expanding KRW-backed stablecoin infrastructure worldwide
- StableNet, WEMADE’s mainnet for KRW stablecoins, receives major upgrades through the alliance
- Chainalysis, SentBe, and CertiK bring compliance, security, and real-world payment capabilities
A New Alliance to Scale KRW Stablecoins Globally
WEMADE’s goal is straightforward: build a secure, regulated, and scalable ecosystem for a Korean won stablecoin. The company’s mainnet, StableNet, will evolve with support from three global leaders—each contributing different layers of technology, compliance, and settlement capabilities.
South Korea’s stablecoin development has surged over the past year as regulatory frameworks form and demand grows. GAKS is designed to accelerate that national push while connecting Korean stablecoin infrastructure with global markets.
Chainalysis and CertiK Strengthen Security and Compliance
Chainalysis will integrate several tools into StableNet, including Hexagate for Web3 threat detection, Sentinel for transaction monitoring, and Alterya for AI-driven scam prevention.

CertiK will handle security audits for StableNet, provide a block explorer, and continue validating nodes for the WEMADE ecosystem. These efforts aim to boost transparency, strengthen on-chain monitoring, and support mainnet integrity.
CertiK co-founder Ronghui Gu said:
“CertiK and WEMADE have collaborated multiple times in the past, witnessing WEMIX evolution from gaming into on-chain financial infrastructure. This partnership will deepen our collaboration and drive the development of a KRW-based stablecoin ecosystem.”
SentBe Extends Cross-Border Utility
SentBe, a leading remittance fintech platform with payment services in more than 170 countries, will help build real-world applications for the KRW stablecoin. With a Singapore MPI license, SentBe will support verification processes for WEMADE’s stablecoin-based remittance infrastructure and provide its on- and off-ramp technology.

WEMIX CEO Shane Kim said:
“This collaboration with international leaders is an incredibly significant milestone in securing the technical completeness of StableNet, and providing domestic partners with the opportunity to join a world-class technology alliance. With GAKS, we will present a new paradigm for the KRW-backed stablecoin beyond South Korea.”
The formal signing ceremony took place in Singapore, followed by a fireside conversation on market trends and future opportunities for KRW-based digital assets.
Chainalysis Asia Pacific VP James Ang added:
“The durability of any stablecoin ecosystem depends on uncompromising compliance, robust security, and complete transparency. By joining GAKS, Chainalysis is committed to ensuring that StableNet is built on a globally trusted compliance foundation from day one.”
Roadmap for StableNet
StableNet’s testnet source code was released publicly earlier this year. A full testnet rollout is scheduled for December, with the mainnet launch expected in early 2026 after stability testing.
