Aptos Partners with Jambo to Debut $99 ‘JamboPhone’ Crypto Smartphone

Aptos has entered the crypto smartphone market by partnering with Jambo to launch the JamboPhone, a budget-friendly device priced at $99. This smartphone is geared towards users in Africa, Southeast Asia, and Latin America, with the goal of making the digital economy more accessible through its Web3 capabilities.

The JamboPhone, which hit the market in January and is now available in over 40 countries, comes equipped with various pre-installed applications that are compatible with the Aptos blockchain. Among these applications is the Petra wallet, designed specifically for Aptos users.

Moreover, the phone features the Jambo App, which serves as a gateway to Web3, offering educational resources through JamboEarn and JamboAcademy. This initiative aims to provide users with knowledge about the digital economy and opportunities to earn income via the app’s Quests feature.

Although detailed specifications of the JamboPhone are not fully disclosed, it is known to operate on Android 13. The phone boasts a 4,900 mAh battery, a 6.5-inch LCD display, and dual SIM capabilities. Additionally, it includes a dual-lens camera setup, enhancing its appeal to tech-savvy consumers looking for an affordable entry into the world of crypto and blockchain.
