Avalanche Foundation Unveils Avalanche9000 to Lower Costs and Improve Developer Experience

Avalanche9000, the Avalanche Foundation’s most important network upgrade, was introduced with the goal of improving the overall functionality and attractiveness of its blockchain. The Etna update, a milestone release, promises to transform the way developers engage with the network by significantly lowering transaction fees and deployment costs on Avalanche’s C-Chain.

Avalanche9000, which was released on December 17, tackles a number of issues that developers had previously faced, including expensive validator and staking fees. The ability of layer 1 blockchains to operate apart from the main Avalanche network is among the most significant modifications brought about by the Etna version. Furthermore, transaction fees on the C-Chain have been reduced by 96%, making it more economical for developers to operate within the Avalanche ecosystem.
