Crypto.com Gains VASP Registration in Argentina for Regulated Crypto Services

Argentina’s National Securities Commission (CNV) has formally granted Crypto.com Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) registration. The company may now provide fully regulated bitcoin services in the area thanks to this milestone.

The approval comes after the nation’s revised rules were unveiled on March 14. In order to strengthen its regulatory position in Argentina, Crypto.com intends to work with the CNV to acquire a full operating license.

Localized Offerings for Argentine Users

As part of its ongoing expansion plan, Crypto.com plans to introduce regional goods via its app. Notably, the exchange offered consumers a practical means of trading digital assets in 2022 when it launched ARS fiat wallet services.

According to a new Crypto.com survey, Argentine people are very interested in cryptocurrencies. The option to pay using cryptocurrency debit cards is valued by roughly 46% of respondents, and 57% said they would like to invest in cryptocurrency within the next year.

The expansion of Crypto.com in Latin America is bolstered by these regulatory advancements. In November 2024, the business introduced the Crypto.com Visa Card to the area. Additionally, it established a strategic alliance with BTG Pactual, one of Latin America’s top investment banks, in February 2024.
