Supporting Emergency Teams During Wildfire Crisis
The funds aim to help these critical departments acquire essential gear and equipment for wildfire response. This support also ensures they are better prepared for future disasters. “We have an intimate connection to the City of Los Angeles through AEG and the Crypto.com Arena, and our hearts are with all those impacted by the tragic wildfires,” said Matt David, Crypto.com’s president of North America and chief corporate affairs officer.
David emphasized the company’s dedication to working with partners and the community to assist those in need during these challenging times.
Since January, California has seen devastating wildfires that have caused considerable property losses and forced thousands of people to relocate. The essential need for improved resources for first responders fighting these crises is addressed by Crypto.com’s contribution.
Along with the bitcoin community, Ripple has pledged $100,000 to aid relief efforts. The XRP donation from Ripple will help charities that actively assist victims of wildfires, such as GiveDirectly and World Central Kitchen.
