ePIC Blockchain to Support S19 XP to Boost Bitcoin-mining
(Originally posted on : Crypto News – iGaming.org )
ePIC Blockchain, a blockchain technology innovator, revealed new innovations in its Universal Mining Control (UMC) product line today. The UMC board and custom firmware, built with ePIC’s PowerPlay technology, enable Bitcoin mining firms to optimize their fleets by offering control over critical mining metrics. The ePIC UMC and custom firmware now support the S19 XP Bitcoin miner, according to the most recent update.
Furthermore, the UMC product line supports the S19 J series, and more are in the works. Mining businesses will have access to the API by using the UMC board and custom firmware to enable customers’ special features in consideration of their individual operating environment, as well as to fine-tune operational metrics such as frequency and voltage.
In a suitably air-cooled environment, the S19 XP with ePIC’s UMC can reach an efficiency of less than 19 J/TH – a significant milestone in today’s power cost environment and hashrate difficulties. Furthermore, as more mining operations shift from air-cooled to liquid immersion, the immersion-ready UMC and its software enable users to eliminate fans and make the transition to liquid immersion mining as easy as possible.
Jim Seto, CEO of ePIC Blockchain, said:
“The UMC and support of the S19 XP provides the flexibility to operate the miners in the performance and efficiency envelope best suited for the evolving financial conditions and power environment of Bitcoin mining. TCO (total cost of ownership) belongs in the hands of our customers and that is foundational to our royalty-free offering”.
Kevin Pan, CEO and founder at Poolin, said:
“The firmware and hardware solutions from ePIC are ideally suited for customers to extend the product life cycle of their fleet and to lower their operating costs. Poolin looks forward to optimizing our CapEx and OpEx footprint with ePIC solutions”.
