Bitcoin‘s trajectory in the digital currency world has been undeniable. Currently priced just under $34,000, many wonder what the future holds for the world’s premier cryptocurrency. Finder.com’s recent report provides some answers.
In a comprehensive study named “Bitcoin to Hit $87,000 by 2025,” Finder.com sourced opinions from 31 experts in the crypto sector. A prominent discussion point in the report was the potential approval of a spot bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF). Almost half the experts felt that such approval could send bitcoin soaring, while around 60% predict this approval to come by 2024. It’s noteworthy that Finder’s current report is more restrained than its earlier versions, which had some experts predicting six-figure BTC values.

The collective outlook suggested that Bitcoin would be priced at $30,000 by the end of 2023, with a potential leap to $87,000 by 2025. Mitesh Shah of Omnia Markets was among the more optimistic, estimating that by 2025 Bitcoin could reach $105,000. He said,
“There is a growing consensus that the SEC will eventually approve a bitcoin ETF, with Blackrock’s application being the most likely candidate.”
Echoing Shah’s sentiments, Omnia’s CEO pointed out:

The 2024 Bitcoin halving event also received attention. Historically, such events have been followed by a surge in Bitcoin’s value. This is attributed to the reduced rate of new Bitcoin entering the market. Damian Chmiel from Finance Magnates predicts Bitcoin will stabilize at $30,000 this year, rising to $50,000 by 2025.
“Next year’s halving could be an event that shifts the balance of power in favor of bitcoin. I still believe that the digital asset will ultimately reach new all-time highs and attain a six-figure value,” Chmiel mentioned.
On the contrary, Desmond Marshall from Rouge International and Rouge Ventures has a more conservative view. Citing concerns like regulatory actions by SEC chairman Gary Gensler and potential economic downturns, he pegs Bitcoin’s 2025 value at $35,000.
“BTC is still the strongest crypto of all, so I don’t think the dip will be as hard as other tokens,” Marshall noted.
