Lionel Messi, the Argentine soccer player touted by many as the best player of the world, has partnered with Bitget, a digital currency firm. The Singapore-based startup will allow supporters of Messi’s Paris Saint-Germain squad to exchange digital products and explore the expanding world of web3.
A $20 million marketing campaign starring Lionel Messi will begin out with the release of a promotional film commemorating the 2022 World Cup which is well underway now. Bitget intends to benefit consumers with appealing rewards, improve market sentiment, and rekindle faith in the cryptocurrency sector after recent collapses of FTX, Terra and other crypto projects.
Bitget launched its partnership with Lionel Messi in late October with the first announcement campaign “A Perfect 10,” which has already received a positive response from the general public, Bitget community, and partners. During the 2022 World Cup, the exchange will launch the next marketing campaign, “Make it Count,” with a new brand film and a series of interesting marketing initiatives that include special Messi giveaways.
Gracy Chen, Managing Director of Bitget, said:
“Partnering with the GOAT inspires us to strive for the best performance, and the World Cup period is the best time to remind ourselves about the importance of building and training for the moment to shine. We would like to celebrate the football spirit in the world of crypto and are prepared to continue investing in the ecosystem even when times are tough.”
Chen added:
“Bitget is invested in the future of crypto and Web3. The bear market does not deter our goal of becoming a Top 3 crypto exchange within 3-5 years. Due to some collapses of a few crypto giants this year, consumers’ trust has fallen to a low point, and that is the reason why we are ramping up the efforts on both product and marketing to show our dedication to building the best social trading experiences for our users.”
