Spielworks’ “Dungeon Master” Season Sees 37k New Users

Spielworks, a blockchain startup that focuses on gaming and decentralized finance (DeFi) solutions, has successfully concluded its 8th season of “Dungeon Master,” its signature game. This season, which attracted 37,000 new players and generated more than 200,000 NFTs, concludes just before the beta launch of “Dungeon Worlds,” a new and massive game expansion scheduled to launch in Q3 2023.

Through “Wombat Dungeon Master,” Spielworks demonstrated the power of engaging with creators and brands via NFTs. The game’s 8th season was one of its most successful, with 2,000 NFTs minted, 37,000 new users, and the distribution of additional rewards in Spielwork’s $WOMBAT token. Now, with the launch of “Dungeon Worlds,” Spielworks is expanding the Wombat ecosystem by introducing user-owned NFT staking experiences. In “Dungeon Worlds,” community-run dungeons are organized into seasons, similar to the original “WDM” game, with each one starting and ending across all dungeons.

Ahead of the beta launch, Spielworks recently conducted land and Wombat character drops in the form of NFTs on the WAX and Polygon blockchains. Additional networks such as EOS and BNB Chain will be added later. The “Dungeon Worlds” map includes 10,000 land tiles on each blockchain, featuring different geographic features and materials that Wombat characters can discover. Equipment, in the form of NFTs, can be used by players to improve their dungeons and characters and achieve interoperability across all dungeons, regardless of their chain.

Spielworks has developed one of the fastest-growing blockchain gaming ecosystems, with over 3 million signups and 65,000 daily users.
