Spielworks, a major blockchain business focusing in gaming and DeFi solutions, announces the imminent release of Dungeon Worlds, a significant extension to its famous “Dungeon Master” game. Influencers and NFT makers may now manage their own dungeons, spreading their NFT collections while delivering extra utilities and experiences, including incentives, on their own terms. The expansion will be available on the Wax blockchain soon, with land sales commencing on December 29. The initial Polygon drops will occur in February, ahead of the public debut in May.
Despite the crypto bear market, investors have poured over $3.4 billion into private NFT and blockchain gaming startups through the third quarter of this year. With hundreds of millions of NFTs now released across several networks and billions, if not trillions, more to be issued in the future years, blockchain-gaming platforms offer a potential to create games that significantly extend the P2E user base.
“Dungeon Master,” Spielworks’ flagship game, proved the ability of interacting with artists and businesses using NFTs. Spielworks now expands the Wombat ecosystem with the release of “Dungeon Worlds,” delivering user-owned NFT staking experiences. Community-run dungeons in “Dungeon Worlds,” like in the original “Dungeon Master” game, are structured in seasons, with each one beginning and ending across all dungeons.
A user must own land in the shape of a 33 patch in order to establish a dungeon. The land plots will first be released as NFTs on the WAX and Polygon blockchains before being added to others such as Ethereum. Each blockchain in the game has a 6464 tile-sized map of territories. At the end of each season, “Dungeon Worlds” will give a prize pool of 100 million $WOMBAT tokens to all community-led dungeons. Competitions, cross-dungeon equipment, clans, and the “Overlord Principle,” which comes with a set of unique rights inside the game, are also included.
Adrian Krion, Spielworks’s CEO and Co-Founder, said:
“We have invested so much time and energy building up to this moment and we are really proud of the hard work that we’ve put into Dungeon Worlds. Dungeon Worlds brings so many awesome new features that will resonate with our community. In addition to these new features, down the road we are planning to introduce multi-chain dungeons, a battle mode, clan wars, Dungeon DAOs, and more.”
Spielworks has created one of the market’s fastest-growing blockchain gaming ecosystems, with over 3 million signups and 65,000 daily players. The ecosystem includes the multi-chain non-custodial Wombat Wallet, the crypto rewards platform Womplay, which supports 40 AA and AAA titles, and the Top 20 NFT staking game Wombat Dungeon Master, which has 1.5 million staked NFTs.
