Telegram Faces Cybercrime Investigation in India, But Ban Unlikely

The popular messaging program Telegram, which is extensively utilized in the bitcoin industry, is being attentively examined by India’s cybercrime authorities. Multiple reports indicate that in spite of this examination, a ban on the site appears unlikely at this moment.

The usage of Telegram in illicit operations is the main focus of the cybercrime section of India’s inquiry.
