Manturov stated:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cThe question is when it will happen, how it will happen and how it will be regulated. Now both the Central Bank and the government are actively engaged in this.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Currently, there is some ambiguity with Russian authorities on the future of cryptocurrencies, including mining operations.<\/p>\n<p>On the one end, the Bank of Russia is proposing a <a href=\"https:\/\/igaming.org\/crypto\/is-russia-considering-a-crackdown-on-crypto\/\">complete ban on cryptocurrency<\/a>, due to its systemic threat to the current financial system. Russia\u2019s Ministry of Finance, however, <a href=\"https:\/\/igaming.org\/crypto\/russias-finance-ministry-snubs-central-bank-and-proposes-crypto-bill\/\">asserts<\/a> that cryptocurrencies should be legal and well-regulated.<\/p>\n<p>While Russian President Vladimir Putin is <a href=\"https:\/\/igaming.org\/crypto\/vladimir-putin-highlights-russias-potential-as-a-bitcoin-mining-nation\/\">pleading<\/a> with regulatory agencies to come to an agreement on the matter, Manturov added:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cBut everyone tends to understand that this is a trend of time, and sooner or later, in one format or another it will be carried out.
