Some of that, obviously, we will build internally \u2013 the carbon credit initiative is something we\u2019ve kicked off internally \u2013 but we\u2019ve invested in over 30 or 40 companies around the crypto ecosystem, and we\u2019ll continue to look at opportunities to grow through external acquisitions also.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The Ripple head is predicting increasingly more mergers and acquisitions in the crypto space as the industry is maturing and competition is gearing up among players. He said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cI think there\u2019ll be an uptick in [mergers and acquisitions] in the blockchain and crypto space. We haven\u2019t seen that yet. But I think that\u2019s likely in the future.
