{"id":12770,"date":"2022-06-15T04:28:58","date_gmt":"2022-06-15T04:28:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/crowdfundjunction.com\/blog\/playful-studios-raises-46m-for-gaming-subsidiary-the-wildcard-alliance\/"},"modified":"2022-06-15T04:28:58","modified_gmt":"2022-06-15T04:28:58","slug":"playful-studios-raises-46m-for-gaming-subsidiary-the-wildcard-alliance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/crowdfundjunction.com\/blog\/playful-studios-raises-46m-for-gaming-subsidiary-the-wildcard-alliance\/","title":{"rendered":"Playful Studios Raises $46M for Gaming Subsidiary The Wildcard Alliance"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>(Originally posted on : Crypto News &#8211; iGaming.org )<\/b><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Independent game studio, Playful Studios, has raised $46 million in a Series A funding round for its new Web 3\u00a0subsidiary called The Wildcard Alliance.<\/p>\n<p>The funding round was led by crypto native investment giant Paradigm and included participation from Griffin Gaming Partners, Polygon and venture capitalist Sabrina Hahn.<\/p>\n<p>The subsidiary will be releasing its first game called <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wildcardgame.com\/\">Wildcard<\/a>, which is a hybrid multiplayer online battle arena, real-time strategy and collectible card game on the <a href=\"https:\/\/igaming.org\/crypto\/polygon-network-releases-green-manifesto\/\">Polygon<\/a> blockchain.<\/p>\n<p>The game allows competitors to interact and transact directly with their in-game fans and supporters, and rightfully dubbed as \u201cthe ultimate spectator sport\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Playful Studios was founded in 2012 by Words with Friends co-founder Paul Bettner and is known for popular game releases Lucky\u2019s Tale and adventure game Creativerse.
