E-commerce giant eBay (EBAY) continues to move aggressively into digital collectibles and has acquired U.K.-based non-fungible token (NFT) marketplace KnownOrigin.<\/p>\n

The move comes one month after eBay launched its debut collection of Sports themed NFTs<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A press release<\/a> on Wednesday confirmed the deal with terms of the acquisition not disclosed.<\/p>\n

Jamie Iannone, CEO of eBay, said in a statement:<\/p>\n

KnownOrigin has built up an impressive, passionate and loyal group of artists and collectors making them a perfect addition to our community of sellers and buyers. We look forward to welcoming these innovators as they join the eBay community.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

KnownOrigin was founded in 2018 and has already generated $7.8 million of trading volume since launch, based on DappRadar<\/a> data.<\/p>\n
