The central bank stated:<\/p>\n<p>Binance was dealt the most stringent fines of the central bank\u2019s levels of enforcement, \u201cdue to the gravity and degree of culpability of the noncompliance\u201d and emphasized the violations that took place from May 2020 to at least December 2021 to be \u201cvery serious.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nevertheless, Binance has already applied for registration with the Dutch central bank and it has to be noted that the exchange is fully committed to comply.<\/p>\n<p>Celebrating <a href=\"https:\/\/igaming.org\/crypto\/binance-celebrating-5-years\/\">five years<\/a> of operations, Binance has been very proactive in its dealings with authorities and in 2022 received regulatory approvals and registrations in <a href=\"https:\/\/igaming.org\/crypto\/binance-secures-approval-in-france-and-is-now-a-registered-digital-asset-provider\/\">France<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/igaming.org\/crypto\/binance-subsidiary-gets-regulatory-approval-in-spain\/\">Spain<\/a>, Dubai,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/igaming.org\/crypto\/binance-receives-in-principle-approval-to-offer-services-in-abu-dhabi\/\">Abu Dhabi<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/igaming.org\/crypto\/binance-receives-license-to-operate-in-bahrain\/\">Bahrain<\/a>, and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/igaming.org\/crypto\/binance-registers-legal-entity-in-italy-in-push-for-european-market\/\">Italy<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Stressing its commitment to adhere to regulations, the exchange launched a \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/igaming.org\/crypto\/binance-pushes-for-global-crypto-regulation-in-crypto-is-evil-ads\/\"><strong>Crypto Is Evil<\/strong><\/a>\u201d ad campaign featuring \u201c<strong>10 Fundamental Rights for Crypto Users<\/strong>\u201d in December taking a leading advocating role for \u201cglobal regulatory frameworks for crypto markets.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/igaming.org\/crypto\/binance-fined-by-dutch-central-bank-and-files-for-registration\/\">Source link <\/a><br \/>\n<br \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>(Originally posted on : Crypto News &#8211; iGaming.org ) The Central Bank of the Netherlands has issued a 3.3 million euros fine to the world\u2019s largest cryptocurrency exchange Binance.
