He explained that the exchange understands how to make one and is considering the ideal partner to work with. He also hinted to a forthcoming announcement.<\/p>\n<p>Back in May of this year, the FTX chief had said that it is time to <a href=\"https:\/\/igaming.org\/crypto\/it-is-time-to-redefine-stablecoins-ftx-ceo-sam-bankman-fried-says\/\">redefine stablecoins<\/a>, following the Terra USD stablecoin collapse.<\/p>\n<p>However, Bankman-Fried stated in a <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SBF_FTX\/status\/1585875174657708032\">follow-up tweet<\/a> on Friday that FTX is still determining the feasibility of the plans.<\/p>\n<p>The latest crypto bear market has turned into a bargain hunt for FTX,\u00a0 with the investment arm of the Sam Bankman-Fried led crypto exchange <a href=\"https:\/\/igaming.org\/cryptocurrencies\/ftx\/\">FTX<\/a> having secured a <a href=\"https:\/\/igaming.org\/crypto\/ftx-expands-crypto-footprint-and-takes-30-share-in-skybridge\/\">30% in SkyBridge Capital<\/a> recently.<\/p>\n<p>Before that in mid-June, FTX announced the <a href=\"https:\/\/igaming.org\/crypto\/ftx-crypto-exchange-to-launch-in-canada-with-bitvo-acquisition\/\">acquisition<\/a> of Canadian crypto exchange Bitvo, calling it \u201canother  step in proactively working with cryptocurrency regulators in different geographies across the globe.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Although FTX has denied it since, <a href=\"https:\/\/igaming.org\/crypto\/is-robinhood-ftx-next-target-for-acquisition\/\">rumors<\/a> have been going around of the exchange targeting trading app Robinhood as new acquisition.
