(ONBTC). The new office was formed under Decree No. 49 by Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele to supervise \u201call projects relating to cryptocurrencies.\u201d Torres notes that Article two summarizes Decree No. 49, which was published in El Salvador\u2019s Official Gazette.<\/p>\n<p>The Torres publication noted:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cArticle two defines the objective of the ONBTC which will be to design, diagnose, plan, program, coordinate, follow up, measure, analyze and evaluate plans, programs, and projects related to Bitcoin for the economic development of the country. It will also be able to collaborate with other countries when required, in matters related to the cryptocurrency.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The ONBTC <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/bitcoinofficesv\/status\/1596151189892001792\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tweeted<\/a> that it \u201cwill soon publish\u201d its first report.<\/p>\n<p>The long anticipated Salvadoran <a href=\"https:\/\/igaming.org\/crypto\/el-salvador-to-delay-bitcoin-bonds-launch-by-2-to-3-months-more\/\">Bitcoin bonds remain postponed<\/a>. According to rumors, the bonds may be issued by the state geothermal business La Geo.
