Users should check the cache data of the browser.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Users with WINDOWS boxes should refer to this example format folder:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">C:\\Users\\USER_NAME\\AppData\\Local\\Google\\Chrome\\User Data\\Default\\Local Extension Settings\\nkbihfbeogaeaoehlefnkodbefgpgknn<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Users with MAC boxes should refer to this folder structure example:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Library&gt;Application Support&gt;Google&gt;Chrome&gt;Default&gt;Local Extension Settings&gt;nkbihfbeogaeaoehlefnkodbefgpgknn<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Users should be aware of this filename structure.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">There are various files inside, and users should open them in a text editor or hex editor and look for the string \u201cvault\u201d or \u201cdata\u201d followed by a similar string [\u201cvault\u201d:\u201d [\/\u201d data\/\u201d :\/\u201d wwpX\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Next, change all \\\u201d to \u201cwithout the \\ and enter the full string into the vault decryptor: <a href=\"https:\/\/metamask.github.io\">metamask.github.io.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">3. If a user\u2019s decryptor does not recognize the password, it is likely that the user has recalled it incorrectly. The team can assist if users have some understanding of what it is and need assistance.
