The market has largely been stable as far as XTZ price goes, with XTZ\/USD hovering just above $1.10 since the retreat from highs of $1.50 in February.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/tezos\/\">Tezos price<\/a> is down 70% this past year, and more than 87% off its all-time highs of $9.12 reached in early October 2021.<\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\">Tezos\u2019 Smart Rollups go live via 13th protocol upgrade<\/h2>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Tezos is a proof-of-stake (PoS) blockchain designed to be self-evolving or self-amending with adoption.It means the blockchain undergoes several upgrades as it looks to increase security and decentralisation.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Tezos\u2019 liquid proof-of-stake consensus mechanism allows for the staking of XTZ, which is called baking. Holders of XTZ can earn rewards when they \u201cbake\u201d to help keep the network secure.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">After introducing updates to optimistic rollups and consensus keys via its <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/news\/tezos-activates-the-12th-upgrade-lima\/\">12th upgrade dubbed Lima<\/a> in December 2022, Tezos announced on Wednesday the next upgrade \u2013 Mumbai \u2013 was live. Apart from enabling faster transaction processing, Mumbai also enhances the security and integrity of decentralised applications (dApps) built on Tezos.<\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\">XTZ price outlook<\/h2>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The price of XTZ is retesting the support of a downtrending line on the 4-hour chart. While there is decent demand around $1.06, the 4-hour RSI is dipping below 50.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fr-img-space-wrap\"><span class=\"fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib fr-draggable\" style=\"width: 700px\"><span class=\"fr-img-wrap\"><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/media.igms.io\/2023\/02\/30\/1680193438189-a4560840-23cd-4621-bfc2-3221638184d5.png\" style=\"width: 700px\" class=\"fr-fic fr-dib\" width=\"700\" height=\"270\"\/><span class=\"fr-inner\"\/><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><em>Tezos price on the 4-hour chart. Beyond this, Tezos could rely on the robust support expected near $0.70.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">On the upside, the key resistance zone to turn into support is around $1.28.
