The sentiment flip around alts also happens at a time Ethereum dominates the social discussion volume following its breakout above $2k.<\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\">ARB, RPL and OP prices soar as profits pivot to altcoins amid ETH breakout<\/h2>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">On Friday, as ETH broke above $2,100 for the first time since May 2022, several altcoins followed suit, with <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/aptos\/\">Aptos (APT)<\/a>, Arbitrum (ARB), <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/rocket-pool\/\">Rocket Pool (RPL)<\/a>, Optimism (OP) and Loopring (LRC) registering mega moves.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Arbitrum has spiked more than 18% in the past 24 hours to hit highs of $1.57, while Aptos price was also up double digits as bulls pushed for $14.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Meanwhile, Loopring traded to highs of $0.45 with +11% and Rocket Pool traded to near $52 with 18% in 24 hours. Optimism price rose to $2.64 with another +10% gain.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">According to on-chain data, the altcoin market is starting thrive after Bitcoin (BTC) dominance over the past few weeks.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">\ud83d\udcc8 After <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Bitcoin?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Bitcoin<\/a>&#8216;s price dominance over many assets earlier in the week, Thursday has been <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/altcoins?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#altcoins<\/a>&#8216; turn to shine on a day that <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Ethereum?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Ethereum<\/a> finally breached $2k for the first time in 8 months. Among top 100 market cap assets, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%24ARB&amp;src=ctag&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">$ARB<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%24APT&amp;src=ctag&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">$APT<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%24HEX&amp;src=ctag&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">$HEX<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%24RPL&amp;src=ctag&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">$RPL<\/a> are the big gainers. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/soZJtaYwFP\">pic.twitter.com\/soZJtaYwFP<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Santiment (@santimentfeed) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/santimentfeed\/status\/1646627210768576518?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 13, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">While BTC extended its gains above $30k \u2013 hitting highs of $30,800 on Friday \u2013 the major move was seen in Ether after the super successful <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/news\/what-is-the-ethereum-shanghai-upgrade-when-is-it\/\">Shanghai upgrade<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">ETH\/USD first <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/news\/ethereum-breaks-2000-as-shanghai-upgrade-completes-leads-crypto-market\/\">broke above $2,000<\/a> and then followed that up with a decent punch above $2,100 (buying pressure pushed Ethereum price to highs of $2,130 on crypto exchange Bitstamp.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Analyst Captain Faibik <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CryptoFaibik\/status\/1646784009794363394\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">says<\/a> the Bitcoin Dominace as measured by the market cap parabolic curve formation is showing a sell point. BTC dominance has shrunk to 44%, while that of Ethereum has risen to 19%.
