Speaking with <a href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/video\/dont-really-choose-between-bitcoin-214223853.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Yahoo Finance Live<\/a>, he said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>I view Bitcoin as digital gold. Store of value, flight to safety. Ethereum is more of a tech investment. It\u2019s internet of value. So, you can love one or both. You don\u2019t have to choose.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Part of the reason for the ongoing surge in Bitcoin and Ethereum may have been the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2023\/04\/12\/cpi-march-2023-.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">monthly CPI print<\/a> that confirmed inflation was still well above the Fed\u2019s 2.0% target in March.<\/p>\n<p>Both BTC and ETH are currently up about 80% for the year.<\/p>\n<h2>Melker\u2019s take on Ethereum\u2019s Shanghai upgrade<\/h2>\n<p>Ethereum, in particular, has been in news since last month because of its so-called <a href=\"https:\/\/decrypt.co\/resources\/what-is-ethereums-shanghai-upgrade\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Shanghai upgrade<\/a> that enabled holders to unstake the assets for the first time.<\/p>\n<p>Discussing the hard fork on <a href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/video\/dont-really-choose-between-bitcoin-214223853.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Yahoo Finance Live<\/a>, Melker who hosts \u201cThe Wolf of All Streets\u201d podcast said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>It\u2019s a huge development for ETH, major step in right direction. There hasn\u2019t been huge demand to withdraw. There are a lot of people actually waiting to deposit.
