It was recently reported that Binance\u2019s U.K. division has chosen to remove certain licences granted to them in a recent update on the website of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), the country\u2019s main financial regulator. The U.K. division of the well-known cryptocurrency exchange, Binance Markets Limited, confirmed the withdrawal in a statement to CoinDesk, claiming that these permits were for services that were never offered or carried out within the U.K. After examining the FCA<\/a><\/strong>\u2018s suggestions and determining their long-term applicability, the licences were revoked.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs these permissions were unlikely to be required in the future, Binance Markets Limited decided that it would be prudent to cancel them in line with the FCA\u2019s recommendations to keep these updated,\u201d<\/em> stated a spokesperson for Binance. He further added, \u201cThis decision has no impact on\u00a0Binance.com, which does not own or operate any crypto services in the U.K. and is only available to U.K. consumers on a reverse solicitation basis.\u201d<\/em> It\u2019s crucial to clarify that this decision has no effect on Binance.com, a platform that is only accessible to U.K. consumers through reverse solicitation and does not engage in the provision of crypto services in the country.<\/p>\n

Binance Faces Regulatory Challenges in Europe and the U.S.<\/h2>\n

As a part of a bigger plan to consolidate operations in the face of increased regulatory scrutiny, Binance has decided to remove its permits in the United Kingdom.
