The US Department of Justice (DoJ) has announced a considerable increase of its crypto crime squad as part of its commitment to bolster operations against crimes connected to cryptocurrencies. In order to investigate and prosecute bitcoin misuse, the National bitcoin Enforcement Team (NCET) will team up with the Computer Crime and Intellectual Property Section (CCIPS).<\/p>\n

Nicole Argentieri, principal deputy assistant attorney general, stressed the NCET\u2019s performance as a \u201cstartup\u201d unit while highlighting the need for more resources to address the growing threats presented by cyber criminals.
