The world\u2019s largest cryptocurrency by market cap jumped 7% to trade to highs of $28,142 at 1:05 pm ET, with the crypto market cap rising 6% to $1.15 trillion.<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_151254\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-151254\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-151254\" src=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/BTCUSD_2023-08-29_20-33-21.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1281\" height=\"557\"\/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-151254\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tradingview.com\/x\/emOLa1Nh\/\">Bitcoin price chart<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Elsewhere in the market, Ethereum traded to highs of $1,740, with its value up 5% in the past 24 hours.
