Apple has recently secured the rights to an intriguing book by Michael Lewis, which chronicles the life and career of Sam Bankman-Fried<\/a>, the embattled founder of the now-bankrupt cryptocurrency exchange FTX.<\/p>\n

Purchasing the book rights for a reported $5 million, Apple will be bringing to its audience a detailed account titled \u201cGoing Infinite: The Rise and Fall of a New Tycoon\u201d. This title comes from Lewis, the acclaimed writer behind hit books that inspired Hollywood films, such as The Big Short and The Blind Side.<\/p>\n

During the creation of the book, Lewis closely followed Bankman-Fried for a year, witnessing the entrepreneur\u2019s meteoric rise and subsequent fall.<\/p>\n

The story of Bankman-Fried\u2019s journey is clearly of interest to the entertainment industry. Alongside Lewis\u2019s book, there are eight other projects in the works in Hollywood about the FTX founder. Among them is a documentary led by Nanette Burstein, known for her 2020 film on Hillary Clinton. Burstein promises to deliver \u201cexclusive inside access\u201d in her feature on Bankman-Fried.<\/p>\n

Additionally, Amazon has greenlit a series centered on the tumultuous events surrounding the FTX crash in late 2022. However, these Hollywood adaptations might face postponements, given the ongoing 2023 Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike.<\/p>\n
