According to Grayscale\u2019s proposal, dated September 19, the business intends to list and trade shares of the Grayscale<\/a> Ethereum Futures Trust ETF in accordance with Arca Rule 8.200-E of the New York Stock Exchange. This endeavor complies with the Securities Exchange Act of 1934\u2019s regulations and comes after the NYSE proposed a rule amendment to the SEC.<\/p>\n

Grayscale Advisors, referred to as the \u201csponsor\u201d in the filing, would oversee the management of the ETF. The Grayscale Ethereum Futures Trust\u2019s principal objective is to keep its holdings in ether futures contracts with a \u201croughly constant expiration profile.\u201d With this method, it is possible to implement a dynamic management strategy that makes sure futures holdings are not kept open until cash settlement.<\/p>\n

Notably, the ETF does not need the usage of an Ether custodian due to the structure of its Ether futures contracts. Instead, the trust will place an initial margin deposit that functions as a cash performance bond to open open positions in futures contracts.
