Its shares are keeping about flat at writing.<\/p>\n<h2>Leon Marshall to head Galaxy\u2019s European operations<\/h2>\n<p>On Thursday, the <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/news\/tag\/blockchain\/\">blockchain<\/a> company <a href=\"https:\/\/s201.q4cdn.com\/407453138\/files\/doc_news\/Galaxy-Appoints-Leon-Marshall-Chief-Executive-Officer-of-Europe-2023.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">named<\/a> Leon Marshall the Chief Executive of its European operations. He has previously served as an executive at Genesis.<\/p>\n<p>Marshall has been tasked with seeking opportunities and leading the digital assets platform further into Europe. He will remain its global head of sales as well.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year, the New York based firm announced a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dws.com\/our-profile\/media\/media-releases\/dws-and-galaxy-enter-strategic-alliance-to-develop-digital-asset-management-solutions-in-europe\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">strategic alliance<\/a> with DWS on <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/news\/tag\/digital-assets\/\">digital assets<\/a> ETPs \u2013 exchange-traded products. The asset manager will eventually work with Galaxy Digital on other digital asset solutions as well.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGLXY\u201d is currently down about 30% versus its year-to-date high at writing.<\/p>\n<h2>Europe is turning more attractive for crypto companies<\/h2>\n<p>MiCA or Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation that the European Union approved this year makes it attractive for <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/news\/\">cryptocurrency<\/a> companies. Michael Novogratz \u2013 the Founder of Galaxy Digital <a href=\"https:\/\/s201.q4cdn.com\/407453138\/files\/doc_news\/Galaxy-Appoints-Leon-Marshall-Chief-Executive-Officer-of-Europe-2023.pdf\">said<\/a> today:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>We\u2019re thrilled to name Leon as CEO of Europe, a region critically important to our growth strategy.
