Tennis player Broville has been barred from participating in official tennis events, according to the International Tennis Integrity Association (ITIA), which confirmed the ban after looking into allegations made under the Tennis Anti-Corruption Programme<\/a> (TACP). Following suspected infractions that allegedly began in June of this year, this suspension was implemented.<\/p>\n

According to the ITIA, the suspension is connected to TACP Sections F.3.b.i.1 and F.3.b.i.4. The failure to comply with a requirement is covered in Section F.3.b.i.1, and the possibility that a player would commit a significant offense is described in Section F.3.b.i.4.<\/p>\n

The ITIA stressed the need for a temporary ban in order to protect tennis\u2019 reputation. They claimed that any difficulty experienced by the athlete would be outweighed by the harm brought on by the lack of a provisional ban.<\/p>\n

Despite the ban, Broville first filed an appeal. However, a separate anti-corruption hearing officer later denied this appeal.<\/p>\n

Continued Efforts Against Corruption in Tennis<\/strong><\/p>\n

The ITIA has taken a number of measures to address tennis corruption, with Broville\u2019s suspension being the most recent. Due to match-fixing offenses, French tennis player Alexis Musialek might get a lifelong ban from the sport. In addition, the ITIA temporarily suspended Timur Khabibulin, Sanjar Fayziev, and Igor Smilansky in August due to their participation in match-fixing and TACP violations.<\/p>\n

Nastja Kolar and Alexandra Riley received lifetime bans by the ITIA in June for several TACP infractions involving match-fixing. These infractions took place between 2015 and 2020, a five-year period.<\/p>\n
