Following the JPEX affair, Hong Kong\u2019s regulatory organizations have taken major action to curb illicit actions in the cryptocurrency industry. A specialist task force created by the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) and the Hong Kong Police Force (HKPF) to monitor and look into illegal activity on Virtual Asset Trading Platforms (VATPs) has been established.<\/p>\n

The SFC and HKPF have started working together to strengthen governance and enforcement in the digital asset industry in response to the rising concerns regarding crimes connected to cryptocurrencies<\/a>.
