PayPal UK Limited has successfully registered as a cryptoasset firm with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), which is a noteworthy step. With this, PayPal becomes the fifth company this year to get the FCA\u2019s crypto registration, following in the footsteps of companies such as Interactive Brokers, Bitstamp, and Komainu.<\/p>\n

PayPal is now listed on the FCA website as \u201cRegistered Since Oct. 31, 2023\u201d for \u201ccertain cryptoasset activities.\u201d In the cryptocurrency realm, this action is a major step forward for PayPal.<\/p>\n

Simultaneously, the UK government declared its intention to enforce stricter rules on the activities related to cryptoassets. By enacting these regulations, the bitcoin industry will be brought into compliance with the laws governing traditional financial services.<\/p>\n
