Astar zKEVM is a zero-knowledge Ethereum Virtual Machine- compatible L2 powered by <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/news\/tag\/polygon\/\">Polygon<\/a>\u2019s Chain Development Kit (CDK).<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Popular in Japan and expanding across the globe, Astar Network, is the cross-virtual machine network that leverages Polygon and Polkadot technologies.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The platform revealed plans for the Astar zkEVM mannet launch last month, highlighting the benefits that compatibility with Ethereum <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/news\/tag\/smart-contracts\/\">smart contracts<\/a>, toolset and wallets will bring to its growing community.<\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\">Astar zkEVM to go live in late February<\/h2>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">According to Astar Network\u2019s press release today, the new zkEVM L2 is expected to go live later this month, with its launch bringing a secure, scalable and gas-efficient blockchain platform to Web3 projects and enterprises.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Already, Polygon-based DEX platform Quickswap, omnichain interoperability protocol LayerZero, blockchain data indexing protocol The Graph and Rarible, an aggregated NFT marketplace, are some of the top projects that currently tap into Astar zkEVM.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Several leading Japan-based enterprises are also set to integrate with Astar zkEVM.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201c<em>Astar Network is proud to be an early pioneer in the use of Polygon\u2019s zero-knowledge technology and Chain Development Kit to enter the Ethereum ecosystem. Astar zkEVM will establish a bridge between Japan and the broader web3 ecosystem, with projects by top Japanese enterprises, famous IPs, and prominent industries to be unveiled soon<\/em>,\u201d Maarten Henskens, Head of Astar Network, said.<\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\">Yoki Origins \u2013 the Astar zkEVM mainnet launch campaign<\/h2>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Astar Network plans to roll out an incentive program dubbed \u2018Yoki Origins\u2019 immediately after the zkEVM platform goes live.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fr-img-space-wrap\"><span class=\"fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib fr-draggable\" style=\"width: 300px\"><span class=\"fr-img-wrap\"><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/media.igms.io\/2024\/01\/01\/1706788857632-6805c64b-ec9e-4ebf-84df-3ee2f31f0f2a.png\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"fr-fic fr-dib\" width=\"300\" height=\"298\"\/><span class=\"fr-inner\">Yoki Origins launch campaign<\/span><\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"fr-img-space-wrap2\">The campaign program intends to provide access to Astar Network\u2019s original characters, which are inspired by Japanese Yokais \u201cYokis. With over 40 Web3 projects, creators and enterprises involved, the campaign will be a big chance for users to explore and interact across the Astar zkEVM platform.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">As well as acquiring Yokis, users will have an opportunity to grab artwork by various artists, builders and enterprises.
