The ETF, which launched just under two months ago, now holds 195,985 bitcoins. This figure was reached after the fund added nearly 5,000 bitcoins last Friday, showcasing its rapid accumulation of the digital currency. In comparison, MicroStrategy, major corporate investor in Bitcoin, reported holding <a href=\"https:\/\/igaming.org\/crypto\/michael-saylors-microstrategy-buys-3000-btc-and-hits-10-5-billion-in-bitcoin-assets\/\">193,000 bitcoins<\/a> as of February 26.<\/p>\n<p>BlackRock\u2019s foray into Bitcoin ETFs has seen the IBIT fund experiencing substantial daily inflows, rapidly making it one of the largest holders of Bitcoin among the new spot ETFs. This excludes Grayscale\u2019s Bitcoin Trust, which transitioned from a closed-end fund and currently possesses about 400,000 bitcoins, despite shedding over 200,000 since the introduction of new spot ETF products.<\/p>\n<p>The surge in Bitcoin\u2019s price, which has climbed over 60% this year and this weekend again surpassed the $70,000 mark for<a href=\"https:\/\/igaming.org\/crypto\/bitcoin-breaks-70k\/\"> another record high<\/a>, is largely attributed to the overwhelming demand for these new spot ETFs.
