This action was announced by Comisi\u00f3n Nacional de Valores (CNV), the nation\u2019s securities regulator, with the goal of improving control of the rapidly growing cryptocurrency market.<\/p>\n

Any organization that engages in any of the following cryptocurrency-related activities is required by the directive to register with the appropriate authorities: purchasing, selling, sending, receiving, lending, or trading. This criterion is applicable to international businesses that operate in Argentina\u2019s market as well as domestic businesses.<\/p>\n

The introduction of these regulations<\/a> comes amid shifting expectations following the election of Javier Milei, an anarcho-capitalist and libertarian leader, who assumed office in December 2023.
