The leading cryptocurrency\u2019s potential to break out to a new all-time high has received a new boost as reports emerge Hong Kong is set to approve its first spot Bitcoin ETFs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">BTC\u2019s upside flip is likely to push other altcoins higher, and one of the new tokens attracting the most attention is <a href=\"https:\/\/bitbot.tg\/?utm_source=media&amp;utm_medium=artc&amp;utm_campaign=coinjournal&amp;utm_term=internal&amp;utm_content=investment_opportunity\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bitbot (BITBOT)<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Is Bitcoin (BTC) set to explode next week?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">There are <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BTC_Archive\/status\/1778741866168537315\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reports<\/a> that Hong Kong could approve the first spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs in the region as early as Monday. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A Bloomberg report on Friday quotes sources as saying that the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) is set to give it nod, just days after major Chinese funds applied to issue spot Bitcoin ETFs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">While Hong Kong\u2019s decision is not officially communicated as of writing, there\u2019s growing positivity in the market already. In January 2024, when the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approved the first spot Bitcoin ETFs, the price of BTC skyrocketed amid massive demand.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">BTC reached its ATH of $73,737 in March, riding halving and spot ETFs sentiment. The SEC has <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/news\/u-s-sec-calls-for-public-input-on-spot-ethereum-etf-applications\/\">called for public participation on spot ETH ETFs<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Today\u2019s news has seen the bellwether crypto flip from lows of $69,500 to currently trade above $70,900.
