After being found guilty of running the Silk Road and receiving a life sentence in 2015, Ross Ulbricht is still behind bars for his role in enabling the purchase of illegal narcotics and hacking equipment between 2011 and 2013 using Bitcoin and other virtual currencies. Ulbricht, who is currently serving a life sentence, has garnered a lot of attention from libertarian voters who see his case as an example of government overreach.<\/p>\n
