The company also plans to start <a href=\"https:\/\/igaming.org\/cryptocurrencies\/section\/how-mining-works\/\">mining<\/a> Bitcoin.<\/p>\n<p>Dirk R\u00f6der, Web3 lead at T-Systems MMS, disclosed that the firm has been operating these nodes since 2023. He emphasized that T-Systems MMS has supported the Bitcoin network for over a year. As Europe\u2019s largest telecommunications provider, Deutsche Telekom and its subsidiaries are not new to blockchain technology. They have previously backed Polygon, Ethereum, and other blockchain networks.<\/p>\n<p>R\u00f6der explained, <em>\u201cWe provide our cloud infrastructure for blockchain networks such as Ethereum or Polkadot. These nodes record transactions and secure the blockchain as \u2018guardians.\u2019\u201d<\/em> He described the company as an enabler for the blockchain infrastructure, stating,<em> \u201cFor this service, we get paid in cryptocurrencies. At the same time, we give Web3 the necessary security for future applications.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>When asked about the company\u2019s future plans, R\u00f6der confirmed they intend to start mining <a href=\"https:\/\/igaming.org\/cryptocurrencies\/section\/what-is-a-bitcoin\/\">Bitcoin<\/a>.
