At the Bitcoin 2024 conference in Nashville, Michael Saylor<\/a>, the founder and executive chairman of MicroStrategy, made wild prediction that Bitcoin (BTC) will surge<\/a> over 19,000% in the next two decades. Saylor presented his ambitious long-term plan for Bitcoin to a receptive crowd, extending the timeline out to 2045.<\/p>\n

Bitcoin\u2019s Impressive Future<\/h2>\n

Saylor envisions Bitcoin reaching an astonishing $13 million per coin, with a market cap of $280 trillion. He explained, \u201cHere\u2019s my macro Bitcoin forecast: it\u2019s 21 years. It goes out to the year 2045. What do I think will happen? Well, I\u2019ve got a bear case and a bull case.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Saylor\u2019s base-case scenario involves Bitcoin\u2019s annual rate of return (ARR) gradually decreasing over time. He outlined, \u201cI think 55% ARR goes to 50%, 45%, 40%, 35%, 30%, 25%, 20% \u2013 it\u2019s between 50% and 20%. It will gradually decelerate till it\u2019s growing about twice as fast as the S&P index.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

At this rate, Saylor sees Bitcoin achieving $13 million per coin by 2045. He also considered various scenarios, stating, \u201cIt could be a $3 million bear case, it could be a $49 million bull case. But what is Bitcoin? 7% of the world\u2019s asset then.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

MicroStrategy, under Saylor\u2019s leadership, holds the largest corporate Bitcoin stash in the world. The company\u2019s treasury includes 226,331 BTC, valued at $15.318 billion. Saylor\u2019s confidence in Bitcoin\u2019s future is evident in MicroStrategy\u2019s substantial investment in the cryptocurrency.<\/p>\n
