Reports of the outage come less than 24 hours after TON returned online following more than six hours of downtime.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">On Wednesday, the TON blockchain <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/ton_blockchain\/status\/1828666523998691503\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">announced<\/a> the network overload had resolved and that the Telegram-linked blockchain was \u201cback online.\u201d However, the network stopped processing transactions, with the platform providing an update to this effect.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cBlock production on TON experiencing disruption beginning 19:19 UTC,\u201d TON wrote on X. \u201cAppears to be due to heavy load attributed to DOGS token minting. TON Core is working on a solution.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">According to the update, user assets were \u201cnot at risk\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Block production on TON experiencing further disruption<\/p>\n<p>Block production issues began at 19:19 UTC. Various top exchanges supported the airdrop, with Binance and Bybit among those to delay distribution amid TON network issues.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A spike in activity also happened as Telegram CEO Pavel Durov faced several charges related to the messaging app. Durov was arrested in France late Saturday and remained in police custody for 96 hours. Police <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/news\/telegram-founder-pavel-durov-taken-to-court-in-france\/\">released him from custody<\/a> and took him to court for his case\u2019s mention on August 28.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The events around TON network outages and Durov\u2019s arrest have seen the <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/toncoin\/\">Toncoin (TON)<\/a> token plummet. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">After a brief recovery to above $5.75, the TON token is back below $5.50.
