    Ripple\u2019s CEO has said an IPO isn\u2019t a priority for the company, partly because of its challenges with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).<\/p>\n

    Speaking<\/a> at the Ripple<\/a> Swell Conference, Brad Garlinghouse spoke about XRP\u2019s future, the SEC<\/a>, crypto regulation, Ripple\u2019s new RLUSD stablecoin<\/a>, and XRP exchange-traded fund (ETF) filings.<\/p>\n

    On the topic of an IPO, Garlinghouse said \u201can IPO has not been a high priority for us and part of that is because the SEC is not our friend.\u201d<\/p>\n

    He added that for a company to issue an IPO, it\u2019s because they want to raise capital. Garlinghouse stated that Ripple is in a \u201cstrong financial position\u201d that has seen them investing in different crypto projects.<\/p>\n

    \u201cWe have a couple of dynamics here with Ripple,\u201d Garlinghouse said. \u201cOne is we have a hostile SEC, hostile US environment, and we have a company that doesn\u2019t need to go raise capital. So it\u2019s just been a back burner topic.\u201d<\/p>\n

    Notably, he didn\u2019t knock down the possibility of an IPO in the future.<\/p>\n
