We\u2019re going to keep showing up to protect our customer\u2019s rights and help get sensible legislation passed in major markets around the world.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">We get the U.S. election results in 6 days, and no matter how you slice it, it will be the most pro-crypto congress ever.<\/p>\n<p>But we&#8217;re not slowing down post-election.<\/p>\n<p>Today I&#8217;m announcing that <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/coinbase?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@coinbase<\/a> has committed another $25M to support Fairshake PAC, which they will use\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Brian Armstrong (@brian_armstrong) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/brian_armstrong\/status\/1851729070171811910?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 30, 2024<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In Coinbase\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/s27.q4cdn.com\/397450999\/files\/doc_financials\/2024\/q3\/Q3-24-Shareholder-Letter.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">shareholder letter<\/a> for the third quarter of 2024, the organization said it was \u201cprepared to work with either administration\u201d in the US, regardless of whether Vice President <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/search\/kamala+harris\">Kamala Harris<\/a> or former President <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/search\/donald+trump\">Donald Trump<\/a> becomes the next POTUS.<\/p>\n<h2>Rising crypto donations<\/h2>\n<p>Fairshake remains the largest in the US election cycle, raising over $202 million, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.opensecrets.org\/political-action-committees-pacs\/fairshake-pac\/C00835959\/summary\/2024\">Open Secrets<\/a>, a research group that tracks money in US politics.<\/p>\n<p>The crypto sector has played a significant role during the 2024 election race with the industry <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/EleanorTerrett\/status\/1834617979083882685\">donating around $190 million in political donations<\/a> so far.<\/p>\n<p>Former president <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/search\/donald+trump\">Donald Trump<\/a> has received his fair share of crypto donations. In June, the Winklevoss twins sent the US candidate <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/news\/donald-trump-receives-2m-bitcoin-donation-from-winklevoss-twins\/\">$2 million in Bitcoin<\/a>, and in the same month, <a href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/news\/donald-trump-gets-1m-ethereum-donation-from-kraken-co-founder\/\">Jesse Powell, co-founder of crypto exchange Kraken, donated $1 million in Ethereum<\/a> to Trump\u2019s campaign.<\/p>\n<p>Vice President Kamala Harris has also received crypto donations.
