President-elect Donald Trump\u2019s cryptocurrency initiative, World Liberty Financial (WLFI), is taking risks in the decentralized finance (DeFi) field in anticipation of its launch<\/a>. The blockchain intelligence platform Arkham\u2019s on-chain data shows that WLFI\u2019s treasury has purchased $50 million worth of DeFi cryptocurrencies.<\/p>\n

WLFI\u2019s DeFi Coin Acquisitions<\/h2>\n

World Liberty Financial\u2019s treasury purchased significant amounts of popular DeFi assets. According to the report, the acquisitions include $35 million in ETH\/WETH, $10 million in cbBTC, $1 million in LINK, and another $1 million in AAVE. This move has raised questions in the crypto community, with some speculating that Trump\u2019s platform may be positioning itself to capitalize on the growing DeFi sector.
