Overhere, the company behind the HAWK meme coin, has distanced itself from the token\u2019s collapse, directing blame toward Haliey Welch, better known as Hawk Tuah Girl, and her team. The token, launched on Solana earlier this month, quickly lost over 90% of its value, leaving investors furious and accusing the project of being a classic rug pull.<\/p>\n

The situation escalated when Overhere published a detailed thread on X (formerly Twitter), explaining its side of the story. In the post, the company claimed it had no formal contract or financial compensation for its work on HAWK. Overhere described itself as a well-meaning team that underestimated the challenges of transitioning from traditional online communities to the blockchain space.<\/p>\n
